Privacy concerns about AI prompts and training data

• Sometimes you will be submitting prompts to generative AI
• Sometimes your instructor/TA will submit your work to generative AI
• ⚠️ Generative AI can lead to false or biased results.
• ⚠️ Generative AI can expose or exploit personal data you add to it.
• 🎩 You can switch off OpenAI's use of your data for training in ChatGPT's settings.

• 💰 There is no textbook for this course, and free tools exist for most of the assignments. However, you will achieve better results by subscribing for some during the run of the course, eg GPT-4 (4 months x $20 = $80).
